Windjammer Days | June – July
The Boothbay Harbor Windjammer Days festival is the area’s official sign of summer’s arrival! This week-long event is a celebration of the area’s maritime heritage and rich history. We recommend booking our special Windjammer Days Package, which includes a sail aboard the famous Lynx tall ship.
Antique Auto Days | July
Another signature summer event in Midcoast Maine is Antique Auto Days! Car collectors especially love this event filled with classic, vintage, and muscle cars, but average families enjoy the festivities, as well. This July, be sure to visit the Boothbay Railway Village during Antique Auto Days!
Pemaquid Lobster Boat Races | August
There are few events more uniquely “Maine” than the Pemaquid Lobster Boat Races! As part of a series of races that take place every summer along Maine’s coastline, the Pemaquid race offers exciting views and fun for the whole family. It’s always fun watching lobstermen take a break from the harvest as they go bow-to-bow for prizes!
Pemaquid Oyster Festival | September
The Pemaquid Oyster Festival is a free event during which guests can enjoy local oysters harvested fresh from the Damariscotta River. Eat them on the half shell, or try one of the many other fantastic dishes prepared by local chefs. This event also features live music and boat rides!
Maine’s Pumpkin Trail | September – October
Part of the Damariscotta Pumpkin Festival, the Pumpkin Trail is the perfect way to welcome fall in Midcoast Maine. The “trail” covers 50 miles of Maine’s coastline and features cruises, train rides, a pumpkin boat regatta, and pumpkin-smashing events. It’s fun for the entire family!
Boothbay Botanical Gardens Aglow | November – December
The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens transforms every winter into Maine’s largest and most exciting Christmas light display! In addition to twinkling lights as far as the eye can see, Gardens Aglow is known for its great selection of family-friendly food and entertainment. There are plenty of other Festival of Lights events to enjoy this time of year, too!
