Plan a Picnic in the Park on Your Maine Escape

No matter where you look, there is something new and exciting to do when staying at Linekin Bay Resort. Found on the shores of Linekin Bay, our waterfront resort is the perfect home base for all groups, from families to solo travelers. With so many adventures to embark on, it can be challenging to remember to enjoy the slower moments. A great way to take a break while still having fun is by planning a picnic in the park.

Step 1: Pack Your Picnic Basket

The key to any good picnic is a basket filled with delicious items. However, that doesn’t mean you have to stick to traditional picnic fare. Place a to-go order with The Deck Bar & Grill, our world-class on-site restaurant known for creative and traditional Maine dishes. If you’re craving an incredible sandwich, head into town and grab something from Marcel’s Submarine Shop. If you want to create a traditional basket, head to Hannaford grocery store to get an array of meats, cheeses, crackers, and other goodies.

Step 2: Pick Your Boothbay Park

You can have an incredible picnic lunch without having to leave our grounds. Our family-friendly resort features the rocky shore and forest to spread your blanket out on. However, there are also several parks nearby. Head to Barretts Park, located only a few minutes from the resort. You can also visit some of the nearby nature preserves, like Lobster Cove, to see if you can find your perfect spot there.
