Nice, quiet resort in a pretty location. The heated pool with ocean view was a nice touch. Visited at the very end of the season, so it was quite empty, so can’t comment on how it is when busy.

Our wedding at Linekin Bay was absolutely perfect! We had a weekday micro-wedding with only 18 guests, and it was the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony and dinner. We also held a welcome dinner the night before. Melissa, the event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with. One of the reasons we chose Linekin Bay was so our guests could stay on the same property as us. All of the cabins and rooms were beautiful and clean. The property itself is so beautiful and magical. I couldn't imagine a better backdrop for our wedding. The food and drinks during the welcome dinner, wedding dinner, and the free breakfast were all delicious.
We also stayed on the resort after our guests left for a mini-moon which was so relaxing and perfect. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this place! We will be back every year for an anniversary trip! read less

Felt like we found a hidden gem on the Maine coast! Fantastic view, quiet, secluded spot away from congested center of Bar Harbor, spacious and comfortable room. Real surprise was the dining experience - we had two dinners as well as our two breakfasts and food was excellent every time.

Loved our stay during the week. Our rooms were large. Food was great. Felt very safe and relaxed. Close to trails, parks, preserves and the downtown harbour.
This seems to be a quiet peaceful property promoting enjoying nature.
IMO If you or your group are loud this is probably not going to be the place for you.

Lovely location, accommodation is basic but acceptable, staff friendly and accommodating. Restaurant/bar closes a bit early for me.

We have been visiting Linekin Bay for years. Wonderful family retreat. Sailing, view and total relaxation.

Beautiful view of the water from the bedroom. We attended a wedding and I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. They happily accommodated our need for early check-in. A particular moment that stands out is how accommodating our server was with specific dietary restrictions within our party.

My wife and I got married here back in October, 2020. Our previous venue in Boothbay cancelled on us with 3 weeks notice, and we lucked out with Linekin having availability. I'm certain that our wedding was made way better by having it here, even though we only had 3 weeks to plan most of it. The staff and Melissa,... read moreMy wife and I got married here back in October, 2020. They apologized for the confusion, offered us an upgrade and a 10% discount. When we went to check out two days later the girl at the front desk said she wasn’t authorized to give us the discount and she would have to talk to the owner about it. She then asked why we were leaving early. I said that we weren’t. We booked for two nights but she said her records showed three. She said she’d get that corrected. Two days later I was billed on my credit card for three nights with no discount. When I called about the charge I was told that they couldn’t give the discount because I booked through a third party. They also couldn’t refund the additional day. I’m still working on this with Booking.com. Anyway, the good about this place is the beautiful harbor, the water sports, the restaurant, the clean and very comfortable room. The bad, the shower faucet is installed backwards so when you turn it on instead of going from cold to hot, it’s the opposite. The tub doesn’t drain, the bathroom door drags and is difficult to open and close, the coffee pot is located under a shelf so pouring water into the reservoir isn’t possible. The most important issue is the curtains. The curtains don’t close properly and there is absolutely no privacy in any of the rooms. It’s a peeping Tom’s paradise. Blinds are highly recommended. This resort has so much potential to be great but the management is poor and their attention to detail must be improved significantly to be considered a 5 star resort. Unfortunately, as beautiful as this resort is I can’t recommend it to anyone. I do hope the owners work towards more professional management and better maintenance. read less

Outside we had our own small patio with chairs to enjoy the view. There are also several decks and sitting areas around the property. We enjoyed taking a canoe out one morning in the bay. Our rate also included a good breakfast buffet. The views in every direction are terrific. I would definitely return - but stay for longer next time!! read less

We had a wonderful Jr Suite in the Mahawi Lodge overlooking the bay. Sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the attached deck was absolute HEAVEN. Everything in the spacious suite was brand spanking new, comfortable and upscale - our suite also had air conditioning although not all accomodations do. Thankfully we had perfect weather and took advantage of the kayaks, paddleboards and the 19' Rhodes sailboats. The pool is great for taking a dip after working up a sweat. Views all around the resort are just spectacular on this quiet, serene bay. Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner at the Deck Bar and Grill is convenient but the food and service there is average at best, and you need to have a reservation. All in all, I highly recommend this beautiful, unique place. read less

Perfect Retreat We stayed in a cabin, and it was just perfect for a very quiet retreat from everything. We were 4 old ladies, but this would be a wonderful spot for those who want to re t a kayak. The rooms and bathrooms are well appointed. Many have stunning water views and the buildings have decks with outdoor chairs. There are also several small cabins scattered around the property. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of food--bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, oatmeal and creal, muffins and toast, coffee, etc. It is in the old lodge dining room with great views. You can serve yourself and go when convenient. There is a beautiful salt water pool overlooking the water, a dock, and they offer canoes, paddleboards, kayaks, and sail boats. There is also a bar/restaurant on a deck overlooking the pool and bay. It has excellent drinks and food. Good place for lunch. The whole resort is quiet and secluded and also includes volleyball, pickle ball and tennis and basketball courts. There is also a place to do laundry. We wished we had stayed longer! read less
