Reid State Park
Reid State Park has a unique ecosystem that’s worth visiting during every season, especially fall. The park has lengthy, sandy beaches, metamorphic rock formations, sweeping overlooks, tranquil meadows, and colorful forestry. It doesn’t hurt that the 37-mile journey from Linekin Bay Resort to Reid State Park is one of the prettiest fall drives in Midcoast Maine.
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse
The Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, as beautiful as it is, is the second-best feature on the historic property. After a short stroll from the lighthouse, you’ll discover a jaw-dropping metamorphic and igneous bedrock beach that has been distorted by erosion. The surrounding wilderness provides the perfect backdrop for visiting nature photographers. For those who are returning from a visit to this magnificent lighthouse, be sure to stop at Pemaquid Beach for a short stroll and a picnic.
Popham Beach State Park
This state park is home to one of the largest beaches in Maine. Popham Beach State Park is the ideal place for nature enthusiasts who love to explore the unknown. Venture out onto Morse Point for a long look at the Fox Islands before exploring Fort Baldwin and Popham. If you walk the beach long enough, you’ll also discover distant Pond Island Lighthouse.
Barrett’s Park
This small Boothbay Harbor park provides quiet views of beautiful Linekin Bay. While not visible from Linekin Bay Resort, Barrett’s Park is a little more than a stone’s throw from our waterfront property. Barrett’s Park is a peaceful location for a morning dog walk or an afternoon picnic. The colors that enclose the cove are incredibly vibrant during fall’s peak.
