About the Gardens

The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is one of Boothbay Harbor’s most beloved attractions! It opens every April and closes every October. It also partially reopens in November for Gardens Aglow, a spectacular holiday celebration! Between April and October, the property is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours in July and August (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Annual members and toddlers under three years old enter for free, adults for $16, seniors for $14, and children (over three years old) for $8.

A visit here entails viewing an array of colorful flower displays that bloom along miles of walking trails. In addition to exploring the gardens’ gorgeous grounds, guests can embark on a relaxing boat tour of the adjoining Back River or a kayak adventure from The Landing.
